I made my 1st million in hard cash when I was 38 years by solely working very hard. Then I decided to work smart to achieve my next million and then it got easier. My secret weapon was always investing both in myself and my future.

My corporate career concluded after serving in 2 Multinational Corporations (MNCs) and 3 Public Listed Companies, two of which were Khazanah-owned. After accumulating a quarter century of solid professional experience since graduating, I believe strongly that it was time to move beyond working for others and pursue a new path solely on my own.

In addition, I took on many professional certifications, hustled extremely hard, showed up 100% everyday, that I even lost myself along the way. Now I only work for myself, I am my own boss and I get to decide where and what I pour my energy, heart, and soul into.

While I will be happy to impart my experiences in Corporate; the do’s and don’ts to survive, let me assure you that the Corporate world is like playing a game of snake and ladder, at some point you can be on top and with the roll of the dice you can scale to the bottom.

Factors of success in the Corporate World could be more largely related to your visibility, performance, exposure and image. In my opinion you are merely a number to the Company, rarely a human hence I strongly believe in having contingency plans.

Trust me I have seen it all, from the high-lows and everything in between from frequent business travels, to building connectivity with zero travels, from being promoted and scaling quickly in a MNC, to being patient and waiting for my turn of promotion in a GLC.

Interestingly over the last couple of years having spent my time in Audit and Corporate Governance, I also got a whole spectrum of how games are played at higher levels. Being a lady trying to break glass ceilings, I have also faced extreme pressure, harassment and bullying along the way but survived it with the grace of Almighty.
